Warwickshire based Holdsworth Windows celebrates 50 years in business this year.
The family owned and run business, based at Shipston On Stour, headed by Managing Director, Mark Glover have a wealth of knowledge and experience producing bespoke steel windows, handmade leaded lights and fittings used for contemporary buildings, period properties and historic buildings.
The company are also very proactive in minimising waste and where possible like to reuse period fittings after being fully restored to their former glory.
Mark is very proud of their past achievements including installations for; Shakespeare Birthplace, Stratford Upon Avon, St Catherine’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and the windows at the top of Marble Arch in London. Holdsworth Windows have also been featured on Channel 4’s Grand Design programme for supplying windows to an oak framed eco house near Ely, Cambridgeshire
Due to their success, the company needed to expand and fortunately, were able to secure land adjacent to the existing factory providing a much-needed extension.
The company also decided to invest in their own fork truck and called upon West Mercia. After an initial meeting and site survey,
West Mercia’s David Stanley provided Mark with a choice of fork trucks that matched the brief to choose from. Marks choice of fork truck was then prepared at West Mercia’s well-equipped workshop prior to installation.
