West Mercia respond to a warehouse’s need for fork trucks that can withstand their fierce demands
CML Fulfilment & Logistics (Telford) Ltd is a dedicated logistic specialist with 75,000 sq ft of ambient and chill warehousing with a frozen collection, storage and delivery service.
A major customer is Aldi and in order to maintain this business it is imperative that CML can meet this supermarket’s needs on time, every time. This means that their fleet of fork lift trucks must be reliably ready to respond to Aldi’s demands.
When CML’s last fork lift provider began to let them down they turned to West Mercia for a rapid, reliable solution.
Warehousing Director for CMLF & L, Bill Roberts was impressed with the attention and commitment received from the West Mercia Account Managers assigned to ensure that his every need was promptly and effectively met. “We enjoy a great relationship with both of the account managers we deal with, and receive fantastic levels of service. We are a very fast-moving warehouse, and the trucks get a real hammering with understandable mechanical consequences. These are always dealt with very promptly and time offline is kept to an absolute minimum with replacement trucks available as an interim solution in the event of something more serious”.

In just 12 months West Mercia have installed a fleet of 20 forklift trucks for CMLF&L with a preventative maintenance service programme to ensure that the trucks achieve maximum efficiency and reliability within their demanding environment.
