We hope that you and your family are safe and well at this time.
Here at West Mercia Fork Trucks, we are working from all of our depots while following the governments guidelines for safety and social distancing.
We would like to thank all of the essential and keyworkers who are keeping our country running during the lockdown. Without their work, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do, and know that our families are being kept safe. We’ve all been joining in to celebrate the NHS each week on Thursdays and will continue to do so.
In our industry we have found that some businesses are busier, as they are at the heart of the logistics needed to supply the NHS, supermarkets, delivery and other essential services. For those businesses who are seeking a peak in demand at the moment we are here to help with short term fork lift hire. As we always say when it comes to short term hire, the forklifts are yours when you need them, and ours when you don’t.
If you are looking to increase capacity at your business then do get in touch to find out how we can help you with hire options.
We are also available for fork truck repairs and servicing. Whilst this does present some issues with social distancing we have worked with our mobile engineers to ensure that they are able to safely visit sites and work on forklifts when needed.
The BITA and the FLTA have released a joint statement, which we sent around information on to all our customers, making it clear that maintenance must continue on all fork lifts as part of every businesses commitment to health and safety in the sector and for the wellbeing of all warehouse staff. This includes repairs, servicing and standards such as LOLER, which must be adhered during this lockdown.
If you are unsure of how repairs or service might work then please do get in touch and speak to our team. We would be happy to speak to you beforehand and can find out more about your site, if we haven’t visited before, to ensure that we are able to put social distancing and other measures in place from the moment that we arrive.
We are committed to keeping your fleet running, whilst also ensuring the safety of your staff and ours.
We know that times are tough for many businesses. If there is anything we can help with then please do get in touch and we will do our best in these difficult times.
