CFS merged with AEP (Aero Engineering & Powerplant Ltd) in 2012 allowing a major investment into the Coventry site to make Coventry a centre of engineering excellence.

The development has extended the range of work on landing gear and instruments including Non-Destructive Testing to Level 3
The investment also means CFS additionally stock propeller blades and engines to provide a fast turnaround.
Part of the planned development was to upgrade their existing fork truck with a larger capacity to allow greater scope of safely handling of loads in the future, particularly larger landing gear as well as providing greater reliability.
